  FAQs

1.   How long will my pack take to arrive?

We aim to despatch packs within 48 hours of ordering. However, owing to circumstances outwith our control, we suggest that you wait 14 days before contacting us if your adoption gift has not turned up.

2.   Where will my money go?

Adoptwildlife.org is a programme of One World Wildlife (the working title of The Biodiversity Trust, a British charity registered under number 1087680). Its sole purpose is to raise money for One World Wildlife.

As a registered charity, One World Wildlife is involved in numerous projects all around the world. One World Wildlife's core belief is that it is essential to understand that people are part of the environment and that all species have a role to play in balanced living ecosystems.

Through education, high quality research and on-going communication with people involved at all levels, One World Wildlife's programmes - including adoptwildlife.org - aim for a sustainable, long - term positive impact.

3.   How much of my donation will go to saving endangered wildlife?

One World Wildlife is a non-profit-distributing organisation. Therefore, 100% of its net profit from its adoptwildlife.org programme will go to fund the work of One World Wildlife.

4.   How can I find out more about adoptwildlife.org and One World Wildlife?

You can find out more about One World Wildlife and its adoptwildlife.org programme by contacting us at info@adoptwildlife.org. You can also visit One World Wildlife's website at www.oneworldwildlife.org

5. How can I make a further donation to One World Wildlife?

You can make additional donations at any time by going to www.oneworldwildlife.org/donate and following the online instructions there.

6. Am I adopting an individual animal?

No, adoptwildlife.org offers you the chance to adopt an unnamed animal. If we were to offer individual adoptions, we would spend a greater proportion of your donation on administration.

Your adoption of one animal symbolises our - and your - support for all of that species, its habitat and the many other animals that share it.

7. Is my transaction secure?

Yes! Security is probably one of the most significant concerns when making an online transaction. In reality an online transaction is probably more secure than a credit card transaction in a shop or conducted over the telephone or by fax, as the information transmitted online is highly encrypted using complicated logarithm combinations.

One World Wildlife and adoptwildlife.org use the WorldPay payment system whose public web servers are certified by Thawte, a Public Certificate Authority.

The transfer of the purchase details from One World Wildlife to Worldpay are encapsulated using our own encrypted and digitally-signed protocol, to ensure that the information passed is secure and tamper-proof.

Any communication between you and WorldPay is also encrypted to the maximum strength supported by your browser. You are also protected by your credit card company from fraudulent use of their card in a "card not present" environment.

Data storage on WorldPay systems, and the communication between WorldPay and the worldwide banking networks, are regularly audited by the banking authorities to ensure a secure transaction environment. We also ensure that we stay up-to-date with the latest versions of any third-party code we use, and continually review our own proprietary code.

8. Can I adopt an animal as a gift for someone else?

Yes! When you have decided which animal you would like to adopt as a gift for someone else, click on the adopt button. This will take you to a page where you can enter in the details of the person for whom you would like to buy the adoption for. You can also write a special message which will be attached to your gift.

9. I'm having trouble setting up my adoption online!

If you are having trouble setting up your adoption online,
please call 0117 352 5627 or email us at: rose@oneworldwildlife.org

10. Can I adopt more than one animal?

Yes, you can adopt as many animals as you wish. However, for each animal you will need to make a different transaction - we are not able to take multiple orders.

11. I am not able to adopt online, how else can I make my adoption?

If you are not able to make an adoption online or do not want to make a credit card donation please email us at rose@oneworldwildlife.org, quoting "I want to adopt!" in the subject header. Please include your name, address and tell us which animal you wish to adopt.
